In 2013, the Hawaiian Legacy Reforestation Initiative commissioned the first collection of featherwork art reproductions: a cape, sash, and helmet worn by King Kamehameha I, created to represent our and our Legacy Partners’ commitments to support the restoration of Hawaii’s forests, endangered birds, and other species.
