The Aloha Spirit and Hospitality of Residence Inn Oahu Kapolei Extends to Taking Care (Mālama) of our Island Home by Planting Trees with Hawaiian Legacy Reforestation Initiative.
Residence Inn Oahu Kapolei is designed for extended stays and for guests who prefer staying outside of Waikiki. Their special “comfort of home” touches make guests feel at home and like a part of the community. Residence Inn Kapolei is committed to the sustainability of our islands and welcome guests to engage in experiences like mālama ʻāina (caring for the land) by planting trees through our partnership with Hawaiian Legacy Reforestation Initiative (HLRI).
Our Residence Inn Island Conservation fee will help regenerate and care for our island’s biodiverse forests through HLRI’s mission. Guests may also plant their own tree on the North Shore through the variety of planting tours that Gunstock Ranch and HLRI offer. A gift of a Legacy Tree to commemorate, honor, or memorialize a person or an occasion is a gift that will keep on growing and giving back to our island home. HLRI’s TreeTracker system allows the sponsor to watch the tree grown throughout its lifetime.
